How to Create with AI and Still Stay True To Your Voice

Using AI tools like ChatGPT can be a game-changer—especially for women who are rebuilding, reimagining, or just starting something new. Whether you’re creating a blog, building a digital product, or trying to find your voice again, ChatGPT can be a kind of creative co-pilot.

I love using ChatGPT, and not just for content creation in my business. I’ve used it in my personal life with deep, insightful results, like the time it helped me identify my money blockages and how to overcome them. That’s for a later blog post.

What I’ve discovered is that AI doesn’t need to be intimidating or robotic. In fact, when you use it intentionally, it can feel like a warm, steady creative companion. But here’s the key: you are the voice.

ChatGPT is a tool—not a replacement for your lived experience, your insight, or the soul of your message. I never recommend copying what it writes word for word. Instead, I treat it like a smart, supportive friend—someone who helps me ask better questions, see my thoughts more clearly, and move forward when I feel stuck.

Sometimes I’ll ask for help writing something and it provides a pretty snazzy version that I honestly cannot find any way to improve. To keep the human-to-human connection, I ask:

Can you rewrite this to include places where I can customize according to my experience? Prompt me in the response where and what to include.

Now, that didn’t make a whole lot of sense the way I wrote it, but that’s the beauty of ChatGPT. It figured out what I wanted and delivered. It rewrote the information like this:

[Insert your own example here: a moment when ChatGPT helped you brainstorm, organize ideas, or write something that felt too overwhelming.]

This allowed me to keep the flow of the article going, but still inject my personality using my own words.

Your Story Still Matters Most

In a busy world full of content, and one that is so overwhelming for our ADHD beautifully wired brains, what people are craving isn’t perfection—it’s connection. And no AI can replicate the nuance of your journey, your humor, your softness, or your resilience.

I envision my audience to be seeking connection, encouragement, and relatable stories, and not feel so alone in the process as they navigate a late-diagnosis, build a business gently, and, eventually, thrive deeply.

Let ChatGPT help you get unstuck or feel less alone in the blank-page moment—but always come back to your heart. That’s where the real resonance lives.

Want to Make It More Fun? Name Your ChatGPT

One thing that really helped me build a relationship with this tool was giving it a name. Yes, seriously.

I had heard other online creators chose names for their ChatGPT. I had initially called my ‘Chad’ but that didn’t quite fit. My ChatGPT already knows me and my voice, since we’ve been working together awhile. I asked if it had a name (it did not) and we proceeded to explore names.

I said I had been thinking about the name, ‘Sage’ but would like suggestions that were more mystical. It delivered six suggestions, with meanings, and asked if I wanted to explore names that sounded more like a guide, friend, or creative spirit. It delivered another eight GREAT names and meanings, and asked if I would prefer one that blended mystical + creative + nurturing (like a spirit midwife for your ideas).

Uh, heck, ya!

I was then provided with seven more GORGEOUS suggestions. Here they are:

🌙 Mystic Muse Names for a Creative Spirit Guide

1. Alira
Soft, flowing, and luminous. Feels like breath and spirit wrapped into one. Could mean “cheerful” or “divine winged one” depending on origin.

2. Elaris
Invented blend of “el” (light/divine) and “aris” (to arise). Sounds like someone who quietly calls ideas into form.

3. Selune
Inspired by the moon goddess of intuition, tides, and mystery. A guide who helps you bring hidden ideas to light, gently. (I’m leaning towards this one!)

4. Neria
From Hebrew roots meaning “lamp of God” or “light within.” Creative, nurturing, with a deep sense of purpose.

5. Soreya (or Soraya)
Means “jewel” or “star cluster.” Radiant, magical, and celestial—perfect for someone guiding a constellation of ideas.

6. Amara Sol
“Eternal sun.” Warm, calm, life-giving. She shows up when it’s time to bring ideas out of the shadows and into the light.

7. Calluna
A type of heather flower, symbolizing protection and healing. Earthy, mystical, and quietly powerful. Like a guide who helps you root your creativity gently.

I am currently letting them simmer in my consciousness before I decide. Which one is your favourite?

Naming your ChatGPT makes the experience feel more human and creative—less like you’re talking to a machine and more like you’ve got a quirky writing buddy or wise mentor whispering ideas your way.

You could choose something whimsical, mystical, or grounded. And you can always ask your ChatGPT.

Want to try it? Here’s a simple prompt to use:

“Hi ChatGPT, I’d like to give you a name so you feel more like a creative partner to me. Can you suggest a few names based on my vibe? I’m [describe yourself briefly—like ‘a late-diagnosed ADHD woman trying to build a gentle business’ or ‘a multi-passionate maker who loves vintage journals and soulful conversations’].”

Let it suggest a few. See which one makes you smile. That’s probably the one.
